On Friday, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) issued public notices and instructed tehsildars to refrain from executing any third-party transactions such as sale, conveyance, or lease deeds at 18 real estate projects in Gurgaon. This action was taken due to the developers’ non-compliance with the terms and conditions of their licenses, including the failure to clear outstanding dues or renew licenses.
According to DTCP Haryana’s directives, tehsildars were explicitly instructed not to carry out any transactions related to third-party rights, including sale, conveyance, or lease deeds. A red entry indicating non-compliance was mandated in the relevant revenue records of various licensed colonies, including plotted, group housing, and commercial areas where developers had not paid outstanding dues for external development charges, among other fees.
Officials revealed that some developers had not only neglected the terms and conditions of their licenses and bilateral agreements but had also failed to renew their licenses. The public notice posted at 18 locations warned that the developer had not renewed the license and had not fulfilled the terms and conditions, prohibiting any property sale or purchase in those colonies. Tehsildars were duly informed, and the general public was urged to refrain from engaging in any property transactions in these areas, with potential repercussions for non-compliance.
Amit Madholia, District Town Planner, Enforcement, Gurgaon, clarified that these directions were issued in line with the directorate’s guidelines. The enforcement team placed public notices at the specified locations to inform the public and immediately halted construction work at sites where buildings were under construction. Further notices are anticipated for other non-compliant projects in the coming days.
